I'm a research scientist with a background in astrophysics, earth science, deep learning, statistics, and large-scale numerical simulations. I work on physics- and ML-based methods for scientific applications, from creating high-resolution galaxy simulations to helping find and stop methane emissions via remote sensing. More recently, I've been interested in how to build more reliable and understandable machine-learning systems.
I'm currently a Staff Scientist at Insight M and a Salata Visiting Fellow at Harvard University's Salata Institute for Climate & Sustainability. Before this, I was a DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellow at Harvard University and completed a graduate research internship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. I hold a PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics and MA in Computational Science & Engineering from Harvard University, where I was advised by Charlie Conroy.
